This time around, SaskTel has confirmed they’ll be making the device available to their customers in the near future. This of course, jives with the release of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 on Bell considering they share most of the same device line-up.

We’re still looking at that August release date for Bell and have not been given any reason to think otherwise as of yet so the SaskTel version should arrive around the same time. Odd, how many will conform the inevitable release yet we’re still waiting.

BlackBerry Bold 9780 on Bell delayed?!

Sure looks that way. Up until now, we were given two dates for the BlackBerry Bold 9780 to launch on Bell. October 21st and November 2nd. Neither of which has rang true now. New information suggests that the release has been delayed with no actual reasoning for the delay available. In any event, we’re still waiting for a Canadian carrier to make the device available and if Bell delayed it, does that mean Rogers might roll it out first?

Bell Mobility to launch BlackBerry Torch too

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 might be exclusive to one carrier in the U.S., but that hasn’t stopped the floozy of a handset from making the rounds in Canada. Bell Mobility recently announced that they too will be carrying the BlackBerry Torch slider — which we knew  – beginning on September 24th. The device will retail for $199 on a 3-year contract and $599 off-contract. This brings the total number of Canadian networks launching the 9800 on September 24 to four: Bell, Rogers, Telus, and Virgin Mobile. Bell hasn’t put out an official press release yet, but we have a statement for you after the break.

Bell Mobility will launch the BlackBerry® Torch™ on September 24, and clients will be able to get the device for as low as $199.99 on a three year contract. Official: OS 5.0.0.748 released by Bell for the BlackBerry Pearl 3G (9100, 9105)

Yes, it’s true. I missed out on this realease when it first came out. For that, I apologize. But, I do have good reason. You see, the OS 5.0.0.748 that Bell made official recently was actually leaked even before the BlackBerry Pearl 3G had even managed to hit any carriers  and since I had it loaded, I totally became oblivious to the fact that it had never launched with that OS. In any event, it’s here now for anyone who owns a BlackBerry Pearl 3G to download and enjoy. It’s a solid OS on a solid device. Remember though, if Bell is not your current carrier you will need to remove the vendor.xml file before installation. Hat tip to everyone who sent this in to us, noting we had missed it. ;)
